Read the Medication Guide provided by your pharmacist before you start taking extended-release Oxycontin OC 60mg each time you get a refill. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

The drug may be more effective if you take it with food if you have nausea. In addition to lying down for one to two hours with as little head movement as possible, ask your doctor or pharmacist how to decrease nausea.
It is recommended that you swallow the tablets whole. Do not break, crush, chew, or dissolve the tablets. Doing so can release all of the drugs at once, increasing the risk of an oxycodone overdose.
